Days and Timings

M.S in IBF is a full-time Program and classes are offered on weekdays and weekends. However, for easiness of students classes are held on Saturday and Sunday – 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This programme requires full time regular study of four semesters (two years) course work .

Pre Requisite for Admission

Candidates possessing the following Degrees (Criteria) from a HEC recognized Institution are eligible for Admission to M.S Program in Islamic Banking and Finance.

BS/Masters in Islamic Banking and Finance Degree from a HEC recognized Institution.

Masters in Business Administration, Masters in Commerce, Masters in Economics, Masters in Economics and Finance, Masters in Islamic Economics
with a PGD in Islamic Banking and Finance from a HEC recognized Institution.

Masters in Business Administration, Masters in Commerce, Masters in Economics, Masters in Economics and Finance, Masters in Islamic Economics
with the following deficiency courses
1. Fiqh ul Muamlat 2. Asset and Liability Management for IFI 3. Basic Arabic 4. Sources of Shariah 5. AAOIFI Shariah Standards 6. Shariah Audit and Compliance and Regulations 7. AAOIFI Accounting Standards

Admission Procedure

Application Form Submission

Graduates possessing a degree BS in Islamic Banking and Finance from the Sheikh Zayed Islamic Centre, University of Karachi or equivalent according to the eligibility criteria can apply for admission. Applications for the programme will be received online through our Admission Portal. The following documents are to be submitted along with the application form and submitted in the Admission Unit

Attested photo copy of Matric certificate along with marks sheet.
Attested photo copy of the Intermediate or equivalent certificate along with marks sheet.
Attested Photo Copy of the certificate of MIBF/MBA/M.Com/MIF/MEF or equivalent along with marks proforma.
Equivalency certificate from University of Karachi (for outsiders)
Two self addressed envelopes with Rs. 8.00 stamp.
Character Certificate from the head of the institution last attended or from a Gazetted Officer.
Two attested passport size recent photographs.
A photocopy of I.D.Card or a photocopy of B-Form.

Applications received after the last date are not considered

Written Aptitude Test

Students, applying for admission, have to pass a written test, comprising of Subject Test and English Language Test.

Interview

The students who have passed the written test have to qualify the prescribed Interview separately.

Final Selection

The final selection of only a limited number of candidates is made as per merit list.
