The M.Phil program is aimed at catering the needs of higher education, conceptual growth, mastering advanced knowledge and to make the students well versed to participate in solving research problems of the discipline of Islamic Studies along with possessing a full command over applying the tools/methods of Computer Technology in their research applications.
This program prepares intellectuals who are skilled at research and have knowledge of Islamic Studies accompanied by contemporary education to represent the real identity of Islam according to the eminent characters it possesses. M.Phil Islamic Studies aligns and brighten up the minds of participants by giving them a platform where they acquires the knowledge through utilizing modern and latest educational facilities backed by state-of-the-art infrastructure to enlighten their innate abilities towards the development of society through academic research, spiritual development and human welfare.
The 10 Courses are gleaned from different fields of study Islamic Studies, Arabic Language and Literature, Computer Science and Islamic Banking and Finance.

The M.Phil program is aimed at catering the needs of higher education, conceptual growth, mastering advanced knowledge and to make the students well versed to participate in solving research problems of the discipline of Islamic Studies along with possessing a full command over applying the tools/methods of Computer Technology in their research applications.
This programme requires full time regular study of two semesters (one year) course work of 24 credit hours (three compulsory and five optional courses) followed by a thesis.
M.Phil in Islamic Studies with Computer Technology awarded by University of Karachi
A candidate must possess B.S (Islamic Studies with Computer Technology) or its equivalent examination with at least 2nd division.
Classes are held from Monday to Friday – 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Application Form Submission
Graduates possessing a degree of B.S/M.A in Islamic Studies with Computer Technology from the Sheikh Zayed Islamic Centre, University of Karachi should submit the Marks proforma of B.S/M.A only. All the other candidates should follow the procedure described below. The applications for the programme will be received online through our Admission Portal.The following documents are to be submitted along with the application form and submitted in the Admission Unit
Attested photo copy of Matric certificate along with marks sheet.
Attested photo copy of the Intermediate or equivalent certificate along with marks sheet.
Attested Photo Copy of the certificate of B.A (Hons) in Islamic Studies with Computer Technology or equivalent along with marks proforma.
Equivalency certificate from University of Karachi (for outsiders
Two self addressed envelopes with Rs. 8.00 stamp.
Character Certificate from the head of the institution last attended or from a Gazetted Officer.
Two attested passport size recent photographs.
A photocopy of I.D.Card or a photocopy of B-Form.
Migration Certificate.

Written Aptitude Test
Students, applying for admission, have to pass a written test, comprising of Subject Test and English Language Test.
Interview
The students who have passed the written test have to qualify the prescribed Interview separately.
Final Selection
The final selection of only a limited number of candidates is made as per merit list.
