Sheikh Zayed Islamic Centre, University of Karachi, hosted an engaging session on Islamic Banking and Finance on 30 August 2026 as part of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) capacity-building and Islamic Banking awareness initiative. The session was attended by more than 100 students and focused on the fundamentals of Islamic Banking and Finance, Shariah-compliant modes of financing, and key differences between conventional and Islamic banking. The session was jointly conducted by Hafiz Muhammad Sarfraz Nihal and Farhan Kazi, who shared valuable insights into the principles, practices, and contemporary opportunities in Islamic finance. The interactive session enhanced students’ understanding of Shariah-compliant financial practices and the growing role of Islamic Banking in the modern financial system.
